DEVZ Solutions uses its own secure, Medicare- and ECLIPSE-compliant billing software to process Medicare and private health insurance claims. You securely send us your inpatient lists and the relevant patient, service and billing details using the transfer method agreed during onboarding.
We do not remotely log in to, or perform billing within, your practice's billing or patient-management software. Medicare and health fund payments go directly to your nominated bank account. DEVZ does not receive, hold or pool your medical income.
Vascular surgery billing requires detailed service information
Vascular surgery can involve consultations, operative and endovascular procedures and ongoing inpatient reviews. Billing must follow current MBS descriptors and restrictions and accurately represent the documented service.
End-of-day billing workflow
After theatre lists or ward rounds, securely send DEVZ your inpatient list and relevant patient, service and billing details. We prepare and lodge eligible Medicare and private health insurance claims in our own software, reconcile payments and follow up rejections. We do not remotely use your surgical practice’s billing or patient-management system.
Multiple hospitals and provider numbers
Surgeons operating or consulting at multiple facilities should ensure the provider number and location used for claiming correspond to the place of practice. Referral and fund information should also be complete where required.
ECLIPSE and private inpatient claims
For eligible inpatient services, ECLIPSE provides an electronic pathway for Simplified Billing and patient claims. Accurate administrative data reduces avoidable delays and manual rework.
